[Detective Conan] The Little Brother Rescue Plan

[Brotherly Love Between the Kuroba Brothers]

Twelve hours after the new season began, Baili Mu, a top-tier player of Baili Shouyue on the Chinese server, stared at his screen full of red stats and angrily smashed his phone.

This trash game ruined my youth and wasted my life!

Then he died suddenly from chronic sleep deprivation and an irregular schedule.

But he wasn't quite dead. He came back to life!

After living for nearly half a year on a small Japanese island with simple, honest people and beautiful scenery, Baili Mu looked at the short old woman on the altar, her face covered in heavy makeup and a so-called "Dugong Arrow" in her hands, and slowly let out a WTF in his heart.

Toichi Kuroba: "Shouyue, are you sure you don't have any strange sexual fetishes?"

"How could you look at me like that!" Baili Mu said, heartbroken. "I've been in a steady relationship for over two years with an adult man who's 1.8 meters tall."

"Excuse me, how old was the other person when you met?" Toichi Kuroba asked calmly.

Baili Mu: "...Thirteen."

"This is the greatest experiment in the world! I am the greatest and most successful scientist in the world! And you are my most successful experimental subject, second only to the world itself!"

"What let me see you was the resonance between your soul and my 'Holy Grail'!"

PS: The author likes switches.

1. The story begins 18 years before Conan appears. In other words, Shinichi Kudo hasn't even been born when the story starts, so it's clear that the main plot has little to do with Conan himself.

2. The pairing is Toru. I love Toru.

3. This isn't a rescue fic for the police academy group, but they do get saved. That is, they don't die, but the main plot doesn't revolve around them.

4. The worldbuilding is almost entirely my own invention, based on some ideas that aren't scientific or Conan-esque. Don't overthink it; it just needs to be more or less plausible.

5. Pairings decided during writing: HagiMatsu and GinAkai.

Important!

My real-life job is very busy, with a 9-to-9 schedule seven days a week. There's no way I'll update daily, and I'll never update daily in this lifetime.

Theme: No matter what happens, keep striving to live. As long as you stay alive, there's hope.
