A Former Office Drone Doesn't Want to Lose Her Secret Identity

[Entering VIP status from Chapter 22. Thank you all for your support ^_^]

Saionji Tamane is an ordinary third-year student at Hyotei Academy, the kind of person who would disappear into a crowd without anyone noticing.

If there is anything unusual about her, perhaps it's that she's the neighbor-desk-mate of a certain Hyotei emperor...?

That was how Atobe had sized her up and thought of her until then.

Then one day, after leading his team through a hard-fought match, Atobe was attacked on his way home by an unknown supernatural creature. The person who killed it with one arrow and saved him... might have been the utterly unremarkable Saionji?

Having discovered the door to a whole new world, Atobe secretly investigated and learned that this world was home not only to a great many yokai and the paranormal creatures of urban legends, but also to numerous people with strange powers.

To protect himself and his teammates, and ensure the Nationals went smoothly, Atobe put his money to work. He submitted long-term requests to several organizations said to be official or closely connected to the authorities, asking them to protect the tennis club members and Hyotei students. But the people they sent turned out to be...

Atobe: "Saionji Tamane, why is it you?!"

Saionji, former member of Scepter 4 / Ability Public Safety Bureau agent / Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer / exorcist Tamane, covers her face in despair. "Don't ask me! I don't want my secret identities exposed either!"

Saionji Tamane has a secret.

They say one of her ancestors was a miko with immense spiritual power.

She thought her grandfather was just boasting as usual to make the family shrine sound impressive. That is, until the summer of her fifth year of elementary school, when she started falling asleep and transmigrating into another version of herself in a different world.

In the first world, she was a member of the Blue Clan, tasked with maintaining order and protecting stability.

In the second world, she was a member of the Ability Public Safety Bureau, a secret government agency operating in Yokohama's shadowy underworld.

In the third world, she graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School and was later classified as a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer.

In the fourth world, she was the younger fellow disciple of the head of the Nura clan, a renowned exorcist among yokai.

After dying heroically and returning to her own world, Saionji Tamane couldn't help sighing with relief. "Long live peace! Being a lazy couch potato is so comfortable _(:з"∠)_"

While taking it easy, she turned her past experiences into novels, slyly complaining about the terrible bosses who had worked her to the bone.

But no one can predict what the future holds. One day, with a whoosh, all those worlds merged.

Saionji Tamane: "Holy crap!"

Today, Saionji Tamane is once again scrambling to keep her secret identities from being exposed.
