"He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he become a monster." - Nietzsche, Beyond Good and Evil
A serious car accident unexpectedly opened a connection between Mo Yuhuan, the head of the Special Investigations Unit, and another world. From then on, his life changed beyond recognition.
An old man who lingered at the hospital, unwilling to leave; a boy standing by the roadside with one arm missing; a terrifying woman across the hall who always watched him through his peephole...
Hounded by one wronged soul after another, all unable to move on, Mo Yuhuan felt like he was going insane. He never expected to meet someone even crazier than himself.
As he teetered between life and death again and again, Mo Yuhuan heard the dead cry out their grievances, witnessed the hell created by their tormentors, and encountered a mysterious man from the spirit world
Mo Yuhuan: "...Are you a demon? Am I in hell?"
Mysterious man: "Shouldn't I look more like an angel?"
