I Have Two Childhood Friends

Guan Beibei has two childhood friends. They're different in personality, and they treat her differently too. When she doesn't want to practice martial arts, her first childhood friend gently tells her, "Beibei, every girl should learn self-defense and be capable of protecting herself." When she doesn't want to study, he patiently advises her, "Beibei, learning opens your mind. You surely don't want to grow up to be a fool who's easily tricked, do you?" When she gets hurt practicing martial arts with a partner, her second childhood friend frowns disapprovingly and says, "You're a girl. Just learn music, painting, calligraphy, or something. Why practice martial arts?" When she's dejected because her exam results aren't good, he says indifferently, "It doesn't matter whether you do well on exams. It's not like anyone expects you to get into a good university and bring honor to the family." Theme: As long as people work hard, they can become better versions of themselves. If they keep their hearts turned toward the light, they can break free of the darkness.
