1. Tong Jingying had been with Yuan Chen for three years, without a title or any claim to him.

She did whatever she pleased, paying him back for every bit of suffering she'd endured, and it felt wonderful.
Yuan Chen treasured her like his own eyes, even losing a hand for her. Tong Jingying decided it was time to scam some money and run.
That day, wind and rain raged outside as Yuan Chen talked on the phone indoors.
His voice drifted through the air like a ghost's: "How else could I keep her if I didn't put on an act?"
