(Harry Potter) Keep Calm, Molly

I’ve turned into Molly? The bonus gift that came with it seems like a bit of a hassle, but I’ll just have to make do. As the lady of the house, there’s so much to do! To spare my eyes from the sight, the biggest bonus gift obviously needs cosmetic surgery; but since when do housewives have to build houses? I have to raise half a dozen sons for the first ten years, then find six wives for them in the next ten... What kind of a mess is this?! The Dark Lord has vanished. This is the lull before his return. People are on edge, and the major factions are reshuffling; elite talents are emerging, and even ordinary people can find their place. Though shadows still loom, life must go on. A beauty married seven times, an old man guarding a covenant; a lighthouse that burns forever, verdant earth layered with blood; and an old house, still shabby beneath the sunlight. Vibrant life stirs beneath the hard soil, and flowers are about to bloom. For Molly, who’s already learned to take things in stride, having a few daughters-in-law who aren’t human shouldn’t be too hard to accept, right? PS: This story is a big grab bag of normal and abnormal life in the wizarding world. If character relationships or ages don’t quite line up, just chalk it up to the butterfly effect. All magical history and theory in this story is completely made up. PPS: I’ll do my best to paint a full picture of wizarding life. The seven-year adventure plot will probably be little more than a passing cloud. PPPS: The heroine loves to make snarky comments and occasionally has a dark, self-sacrificing side. I only have a rough idea of the plot, so please imagine a wildly off-topic plot summary written by the kind of roommate who makes your life a living hell. PPPPS: There’s inevitably a bit of a wish-fulfillment angle, so please go easy on me. The fake update is over. Everything below is new story content. But the author is extremely lazy: she went traveling for the May Day holiday... 2013.4.28
