Today You Couldn't Care Less About Me

Xia Yuming had had a crush on Mu Ye for three years. Everyone knew, except Mu Ye. He'd already resigned himself to being just a good friend for the rest of his life. Then one day, Mu Ye suddenly confessed. Overwhelmed with happiness, Xia Yuming smiled and agreed to date him. So afraid of losing him, Xia Yuming was careful and did his best. Every effort he made was sweetened by love. Until one day, he saw Mu Ye lazily swirling his glass and saying, "He's so easy to fool. Why wouldn't I take a free live-in nanny who came right to my door?" In an instant, his world collapsed. The only thing he left behind was one last message: Let's break up. When they met again, Xia Yuming had shed all his vulnerability and insecurity. He looked at Mu Ye as if nothing were wrong, as if they had never shared a tangled past. Only Mu Ye still clung to the smallest scraps of their memories, turning them over and over, trying to convince himself and Xia Yuming that they had meant something. But Xia Yuming merely tilted his head slightly as he held a stack of documents. "I was young and foolish back then. I hope you'll forgive me. If there's nothing else, I'll be going. Goodbye, Mr. Mu." Then he brushed past him, unwilling to spare him even a sidelong glance. It turned out that what hurt more than hatred was knowing he truly didn't care anymore. Theme: Cherish every expression of love
