Undercover in the Fourth Disaster

Eternal night descends, monsters run rampant, minds are corrupted, civilization collapses...

To the players, Eternal Night is just a game.

But to Yu Zheng, a native of the world, this is her reality.

[Your current corruption level is: 0%]

Long Dream, the king of vaporware game studios, has launched the closed beta for its Eternal Night game.

The sun disappears, and eternal night descends.

Monsters run rampant through the cities, minds are corrupted, civilization collapses...

Ravenous players: Just watch me conquer this game world!

The game hasn't even officially launched yet,

but the interstellar gaming forums are already in an uproar.

Closed beta players:

1L: I'm sorry. I apologize to my past self for all the big talk. (??? )

3L: I really don't deserve to survive in this game.

4L: Aaaah!!!! I died again!!!

5L: To the person above, I've already died 51 times. My level has dropped to 1, and my account is about to be banned. Sips tea.jpg

Players who didn't get a beta key: Stop tempting us. Get lost, now!!!

The game officially launches, and a huge wave of players floods into Eternal Night. Death and resurrection alternate endlessly, and the game's popularity never lets up.

Players who have respawned again: I'm done!!!

Then, a certain organization appears in the game. Every member is a high-level player, and every one of them has zero deaths.

The bespectacled man wielding twin blades adjusts his glasses. "The monsters can die, but my glasses can't fall off!"

The tiny, squinty-eyed kid with a lollipop says, "Stop running. Come get a heal!"

The silver-haired woman steps on a monster's head while looking in a mirror. "My freshly done hair!!!"

The top-ranked player is a blonde girl. She has zero deaths, is level 100 (because 100 is the level cap), and has an eternal night corruption level of 0%.

In the end, she cleaves through the eternal night covering this world.

Players: ...Please carry us, boss!!!
