Raising the Great Demon King

1.

Shen Qingxiao, the youngest Immortal Venerable in the cultivation world, was a peerless genius.

At a glance, he could tell that the little evil spirit before him was no ordinary creature. A spirit core capable of destroying heaven and earth lay within it. Once fully cultivated, it would become a grave threat to the cultivation world.

But for now, it was only a fluffy little cub, badly injured and on the verge of death.

Believing that a cub was innocent, Shen Qingxiao casually saved it. He never expected it to cling to him shamelessly from then on.

It hadn't yet come of age, and spent all day clinging to him, kissing and cuddling him.

After it took human form as a young man, it continued to cling to him without understanding proper boundaries. It even insisted on holding him while they slept. It was possessive, domineering, and clingy.

Yet he couldn't shake it off, and it kept calling him "Master."

Shen Qingxiao had many disciples, but none had talent like this creature. If he could guide it onto the right path, that would be a blessing... He supposed he could make an exception and take it as his disciple.

2.

Shen Qingxiao patiently raised it, taught it proper conduct, guided its cultivation, and helped develop its spirit core.

The cultivation technique he had studied for years had always disappointed him because no disciple could master it. Now, at last, it was showing terrifying results in the little evil spirit.

Everything was progressing in the right direction.

But Shen Qingxiao never imagined that as the little evil spirit gradually gained power that everyone feared, it would develop improper intentions toward him!

3.

Beneath the endless candlelight, the sickly possessive young man pressed close to his ear and whispered hoarsely, "The technique Master researched will take shape faster if we cultivate it together."

"Master, help me."

"...I'll just rub against you. I won't go in."

Only then did Shen Qingxiao realize, heartbroken, that he hadn't raised a disciple at all. He'd raised a shameless great demon! Defying his master and violating his superior!

Theme: Purity is difficult. Success comes from seeing things through to the end.
