One soul.
Split into two halves.
Each alone and forlorn.
Many years later, on a rainy day, Aifa met a timid young man who looked exactly like him. Dressed in thin white clothes, with fingertips red from the cold, he crouched on the ground like a little rabbit nobody wanted.
Aifa found that being around him felt strangely comforting, so he coaxed and tricked the little rabbit into coming home with him. That night, he got his first good night's sleep in over a decade.
Ever since Aifeier was brought home by his "older brother," his life had changed beyond recognition: no more scolding, no more being shut in a dark room, no endless experiments, no endless cold stares, not even a single mildly disapproving look...
Aifa played games with him, shared snacks, helped him exercise, and took him to amusement parks, making up for everything he had missed in childhood and caring for him devotedly, like a real older brother.
Until one day, Aifeier discovered they weren't actually brothers. Aifa was already prepared to kneel on a washboard, but instead he saw Aifeier grinning like a fox that had stolen a treat, even throwing himself into Aifa's arms.
If we're not brothers, what do I have to worry about?
You are my mirror, my other half, and the one I am determined to claim.
In the end, the devil found his angel again, and the angel descended into hell to embrace his devil.
Content warnings:
1. Aifa is the top, Aifeier is the bottom. The top is sexually inexperienced; the bottom is not.
2. This is a selfcest story. The top and bottom share one soul but have different personalities.
3. Inspired by Hebrew mythology: after the seraph Lucifer fell from heaven, he took the name Satan. The protagonists' names and the final sentence both come from this.
Theme: Recognize both your strengths and weaknesses. Don't feel inferior, but don't be arrogant either.
