Gongsun Nian transmigrated into a book.
He found himself in a melodramatic male-oriented revenge novel, as the peerless great demon and sect leader of the Moon Sword Sect.
According to legend, the sect leader of the Moon Sword Sect was unmatched in beauty. Unfortunately, his temperament was capricious and his cultivation technique was bizarre. He needed to eat children's blood alive, a practice the secular world could not accept.
And so, in the final chapter, the protagonist stabbed him to death, using him as a stepping stone to ascension.
Gongsun Nian: ?
Gongsun Nian looked at the Moon Sword Sect, where the hearts of its people had grown divided, then thought about how his story ended.
Gongsun Nian: Thanks for asking. A hellish start, no hope for the future. I'm going to lie flat.
.
Just as Gongsun Nian was about to take things as they came and lie flat, he discovered that he had somehow switched bodies with someone.
And the person he'd switched bodies with was none other than the revenge novel's protagonist's overpowered master, the righteous leader who could defeat anyone with a flick of his wrist: Chu Jiu, Sword Venerable of the Flowing Moon Sword.
In the original novel, Chu Jiu hated evil as much as he hated an enemy. The protagonist was the only demon he ever encountered in his life. Though he saved the protagonist and did him a kindness, misunderstandings of one kind or another eventually led to a tragic end for them both.
After switching bodies, Gongsun Nian and the protagonist stared wide-eyed at each other.
With all the key players right in front of him, Gongsun Nian gritted his teeth and stamped his foot. "I'll teach him. I can teach anyone. If Chu Jiu can't handle a disciple, I'll teach them for him."
The first step in teaching disciples: build a good relationship with them.
And so the disciples of Flowing Moon Peak were amazed to find that their master, who had always been cold and left them to fend for themselves, had suddenly become attentive and considerate.

Chu Jiu discovered that he had ended up in an unfamiliar body.
Out of guilt toward its original owner, he looked at the owner's chaotic sect and resolved to step in and help.
The first step in securing the sect: bring it under control by force.
So Chu Jiu called all the disciples of the Moon Sword Sect together and swiftly beat every last one of them to the ground.
The disciples of the Moon Sword Sect: Since when did the sect leader get so fierce?
.
After they switched back, Gongsun Nian looked at the sect disciples, who had suddenly become well-behaved, and thought, "Chu Jiu really is a good person."
Chu Jiu looked at the disciples, who had suddenly become willing to get close to him. "The person I switched bodies with really is a good person."
.
After countless body switches, the Moon Sword Sect, which should have been the greatest sect of the demonic path, successfully reformed into a righteous sect. And Flowing Moon Peak, once abandoned by everyone and left to fall into ruin, became a place that cultivators across the world longed to visit.
The disciples of the Moon Sword Sect: Thanks for asking. We don't really understand what happened, but our sect leader and the Sword Venerable are definitely a thing.
The disciples of Flowing Moon Peak: Thanks for asking. You can always trust our master and our master's wife.
Gongsun Nian, eavesdropping nearby: What kind of nonsense are you talking about?
Chu Jiu, dragged along to eavesdrop: Who should we invite to the Dao-Union Ceremony?
Gongsun Nian: ?
A few things to know:
1. One-on-one romance, aloof Sword Venerable gong x easygoing demonic cultivator shou.
2. This is a story about a Sword Venerable who's good at leading a sect but bad at being a master, and a shou who's good at being a master but bad at leading a sect. The gong is more rational than emotional and can be rather cold; the shou is more emotional than rational and tends to be sensitive.
Theme: Two people can make up for each other's shortcomings and grow together.
