A Dazzling Starlight Just for You

Qin Yu had loved Su An for eight years. Su An's assistant and manager, who had been with her for three years, both knew it. Su An herself, though, talked about work all day long. She'd had plenty of experience with women, but she was straighter than a telephone pole. Her friend teased her, "The way Qin Yu looks at you is kind of suspicious. Do you think she likes you?"

Su An smiled and replied, "I'm such a great person. Who wouldn't like me?"

Her friend said, "I mean that kind of liking."

Su An paused, then laughed. "What are you talking about? We're just good friends and sisters who acted together."

Later, she regretted calling Qin Yu a good friend and sister so much that she could have kicked herself.

She gave Qin Yu dresses, lipstick, earrings, necklaces, bags, cars, and houses. She even presented herself on a platter, but all she got in return was Qin Yu saying, "Thank you, big sister."

At night, locked out of the bedroom, Su An lit a candle and wrote love letters through her tears. Qin Yu had ordered her to write 521 letters, each 521 characters long. Looking at the thick stack of paper, Su An slapped herself. "That's what you get for talking before you think!"
