During the Third Shinobi World War, Konoha once had a brilliant young genius whose reputation even eclipsed that of her classmate, Kakashi Hatake.

Everyone thought she was the hope of Konoha.

But one day, she defected from Konoha with her teacher, Orochimaru. Word was, before leaving, she even copied all the jutsu from the forbidden scrolls. Konoha's leadership was furious and began an endless hunt for her.

The girl wandered far and wide with Orochimaru, learning all kinds of research techniques.

During one hunt, she was nearly killed. But her pursuers hadn't counted on her having another trump card: she escaped by using her other kekkei genkai.

And then... nothing more.

Uchiha Jin only wanted to know why, the moment she emerged from the space, she had to see such an ugly thing.
