A Few Things Between Professor Lin and Me

Students from Yanda's Class of 2021 heard the rumors even before setting foot on campus. Supposedly, the finance department had two stunning female professors. One was as gentle as jade, with the calm, reserved grace of pine and cypress. The other was alluring but not gaudy, with a curvy figure.

They say the professors' classes are always packed. But no matter how full Lin Mo's classroom is, only one person ever sits in the front row. Everyone tacitly leaves it for Qi Nuan, who always walks into class right on time, just like Lin Mo.

That brings us to the second rumor about Yanda: the two beautiful professors in the finance department supposedly can't stand each other. Qi Nuan is always showing up in Lin Mo's lectures to challenge her head-on.

Of course, that's what everyone thinks. Then one day Lin Mo asks, "Do you like me?" From that moment on, the rumor takes on a distinctly romantic air...

1. I felt bad for disappearing for so long, so I wrote this short story as an apology to everyone. It's only a little over ten thousand words: four main chapters and one extra. It's still a sweet little treat.

2. The world and characters' backgrounds are all my own. I wrote this on a whim, so there may be lots of plot holes. Please bear with me, and don't scrutinize it too closely.

3. I firmly believe in switching roles, though the story is very tame and won't include anything related to that.
