Blurb:
Tom Riddle may have always been an unlucky person. For instance, he was unlucky enough to have a Muggle father. The bloodline he was so proud of came from his Squib mother. He was unlucky enough to grow up in a Muggle orphanage. And he was unlucky enough to make a terrible first impression on Dumbledore, so he ended up under close observation for seven years...
But the unluckiest thing of all happened when Tom Riddle had finally stopped caring about all that. He had decided to give himself a new name, leave his filthy past behind, and set out on a new journey. His very first step was to take a job at Borgin and Burkes and get his hands on Slytherin's heirlooms, but he ran into a setback.
Tom Riddle's eye twitched as he watched the woman in front of him lower her head and carefully work through the accounts. "Senior... I never expected to run into you here."
Aglaea looked up and gave him a quick glance before lowering her head again. "Oh, this? My uncle went away on business, so I came to help out. It's a family business, after all."
"Mm, you said you wanted to work here? Great. How about this: work from nine in the morning to nine at night, with one day off on the weekend. You're responsible for any accidents in the shop while you're on the clock. We're old friends, so there's no need to make a fuss. Take a look at the contract, and sign it if you have no objections. As for your pay... well, we'll decide at the end of each month based on your performance?"
Tom Riddle fell into an odd silence, then put on a perfect smile. "Of course, no problem, dear senior."
He vaguely remembered hearing Mrs. Cole at the orphanage chatting with someone a while ago about how Muggle workers in London had successfully won the passage of an eight-hour workday law...
Oh, no. It wasn't as if he was still curious about the news of those damned Muggles. That would be unnecessary. He just had a damned good memory. (Tom's dark expression)
Sure enough, meeting Aglaea Bulstrode was the unluckiest thing that had ever happened to him!!!! Riddle, rarely so childish, nearly snapped Aglaea's quill in half.
But until the very end, who can say whether it was bad luck or good fortune?

Everything I've written has been posted! Dbq I am too slow to write, so I can only wish all the cuties I see a happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
Treasure new article, hope it will be updated steadily!
Tom's psychological description is great. It's the first time I read a detailed description of Tom who just came to Hogwarts. So it's really a pity for Tom. He is obviously so talented and climbed up on his own. He is not a so-called pure blood and knows that half-bloods are excellent. I remember it was said in the book that between Neville and Harry, Harry was chosen because of the half-blood. Why hold high the pure-blood banner? Although I understand that it is to recruit those pure-bloods for his use, but sigh, Tom actually has nothing except himself and Nagini.
Slytherin Locket... Be careful Tom
Does anyone want Qifu Tom again? Hahahaha
