[Synopsis]
Lin Wan was a peerless beauty and a concubine to the heir of a duke's estate.
She dutifully kept to her place as a concubine and only wanted a peaceful, comfortable life.
Who could have guessed that after she gave birth, a bowl of soup would take her life? They wanted the child, but not the mother!
Reborn, she wanted nothing to do with the heir. She did everything she could to avoid him when he was drunk, hoping to escape being dragged into bed against her will.
But the night was dark and the road was slippery, and she stumbled straight into the arms of a strange man.
The man lifted her chin. "Throwing yourself into my arms?"
Lin Wan glanced at the drunken heir nearby and could only nod coyly. "I have admired you for a long time, my lord. I would be honored to share your bed."
His voice turned dangerous as he drew her into his arms. "You've admired me for a long time? How bold of you..."
Only later did Lin Wan learn that he was the heir's cousin, Li Xuanzhao, the crown prince of the realm.
She soon fell pregnant, but was terrified of suffering the same tragic fate as in her previous life.
Overcome with worry day and night, Lin Wan dreamed of being force-fed poison in her previous life. She whimpered, "My lord, don't..."
When she opened her eyes, she saw the crown prince staring at her as if he might devour her. Tears rolled down her cheeks. It was over. She probably wouldn't survive this life either.
But the crown prince only kissed her tear-damp eyes. "Wanwan, you were having a nightmare. I'm right here. Go back to sleep."
Lin Wan's eyes brimmed with tears. The day her child was born would probably be the day she died!
.
At first, Li Xuanzhao thought Lin Wan was a concubine who deliberately used her charms to curry favor. That was, until he heard her calling another man's name in bed!
On the night of the palace coup,
Li Xuanzhao cut off the heir's head and tossed it in front of Lin Wan as she tried to flee.
His bloodstained hand caressed her lovely cheek as he whispered in her ear,
"Wanwan, which of us is better?"
#She called another man's name while she was with me. Could he possibly be better than I am?#
#It doesn't matter. Whoever she calls, I'll kill him.#
#Her eyes and heart belong to me alone.#
A haughty, self-important crown prince who eventually becomes a lovesick puppy × a lovely beauty who's a little scheming, but not much
Reading guide:
1. As the synopsis suggests, the female lead was not a virgin in her previous life. After being reborn, both leads are virgins. Happy ending.
2. The female lead is a little scheming, but not much. She's not very strong emotionally, but she's resilient at heart.
3. The male lead starts off haughty and convinced he sees right through her. Midway through, he loses it and goes crazy. In the end, he humbly tries to win her back.

Princess Li Lingzhang of Yun'an was dazzling and free-spirited, doing whatever she pleased.
She was supposed to marry the Xuanwu military governor, a man nearly fifty, as his second wife. But she unexpectedly spent one passionate night with Pei Huansheng, the eldest son whom the governor had sent to escort her.
Pei Huan was as graceful as an orchid and peerlessly handsome. He respectfully called Li Lingyi "Mother" and was supposed to take her home to marry his father.
Li Lingzhang nodded and summoned Pei Huan to her residence to discuss the wedding.
Their discussion somehow ended up beneath the bed curtains.
Afterward, as the passion faded, Li Lingzhang saw the restraint in Pei Huan's eyes and sneered.
"What is it? You'd rather be my darling son than become my kept man?"
Pei Huan clenched his fists and knelt before the bed. "I wouldn't dare."
When word of it got out, everyone was in an uproar.
Enraged, the Xuanwu military governor disowned Pei Huan and cast him out of the clan.
Overnight, Pei Huan was abandoned by everyone. He went from a nobleman's son to a kept man, becoming a laughingstock for people to gossip about over tea.
But within a few months, Li Lingzhang had tired of him. She gave him a handful of gold coins and told him to leave at once.
Pei Huan asked her why, his eyes reddening.
Li Lingzhang said with a playful smile,
"I don't keep idlers in my residence. As my kept man, Lord Pei, you're really not satisfying..."
Pei Huan's eyes turned bloodshot with rage. He turned and left, never to be seen again.
.
Later, the dynasty fell and a new emperor took the throne. To everyone's shock, that emperor was Pei Huan.
The former imperial clan hurriedly offered up Li Lingzhang, hoping to appease the new emperor's anger over his past humiliation.
Everyone thought Li Lingzhang was surely doomed. She thought so too.
But deep within the palace, Li Lingzhang was bound beneath bed curtains, unable to move.
She looked at the man approaching in his imperial robes and gritted her teeth.
"Just get it over with. If you're going to kill me, then kill me."
Pei Huan sneered and caressed her lovely face.
He leaned down, showering her with burning kisses, and whispered viciously in her ear,
"Princess, why are you in such a hurry?"
"I hear that plenty of young men have come and gone from your residence since I left. I wonder if any of them pleased you more than I did!"
A selfish, spoiled princess × a tough, contrary man who hides what he really thinks

Upcoming novel, A Consort's Bewitching Charm, please add it to your reading list!
[After the Fall of Her Kingdom, She Remains the New Emperor's Beloved Consort]
Jiang Qianyan was born into a noble family and was a stunning beauty. As the emperor's favorite consort, she spent every day scheming to claim the empress's throne.
But before the contest for the throne was decided, the Prince of Zhenbei launched a coup.
She died in the flames on the night of the coup.
When she opened her eyes, Jiang Qianyan had returned to the night before the coup.
She immediately tried to flee, but the blood-soaked Prince of Zhenbei stopped her.
His eyes blazed with murderous intent. "Will you die for your kingdom, or become my consort?"
Reborn, did she even need to choose?
Jiang Qianyan smiled alluringly and bowed gracefully.
"I am willing to serve Your Majesty."
.
Qi Ning accepted Jiang Qianyan as a way to keep the old dynasty's nobility in line. He thought he'd have to threaten and persuade her, but she agreed readily, showing none of the backbone expected of a noblewoman.
He looked down on her. Watching Jiang Qianyan flirt and fawn over him, he enjoyed her charms, then lifted her chin and asked in a flippant tone,
"Did you use these same seductive tricks to curry favor with the former emperor?"
Jiang Qianyan trembled all over, tears rolling down her cheeks. She struggled to her feet and stumbled away.
Qi Ning watched her trembling back and felt a little uneasy. She was that kind of woman, so was he wrong to say it?
Perhaps it was for the best. He could keep her in the palace as an idle beauty.
But love was hard to control. When Jiang Qianyan stopped coming to flirt with him, Qi Ning snuck into her chambers in the middle of the night to kiss and embrace her.
Jiang Qianyan pushed him away with a stern face. "A frivolous seductress like me is unworthy of serving Your Majesty."
Qi Ning pinned down her wandering hand and kissed her again. "Stop talking nonsense. Give me another kiss."
Qi Ning was sure his heart was made of iron and that he would never fall for a frivolous woman like Jiang Qianyan, who so readily changed her allegiance and used her charms to win favor.
But the beauty's bewitching charms were like a blade, cutting through his hardened heart and forcing him to watch himself fall, fully aware of what was happening.
A scheming noblewoman who seems seductive but is ambitious beneath the surface × a warlord of troubled times who seems rough but sees right through everything
Theme: Never give up in adversity. Keep moving forward and striving to improve.
It's hard to think about how the heroine would give up her free and happy frontier life and return to the palace.
If you weren't arranged to be an official wife, how competitive would you be, bitch?
Hahahahahaha, God's way, reincarnation is good
After reading this, I want to know what happened to the heroine after her past life and death.
Sure enough, it's the classic injury-and-reconciliation plot again, hahaha. But I still don't want Wanwan to forgive the male protagonist. What happened?
I think these Erlangs are pretty good! Should Wanwan open a harem directly?
The male protagonist has always been self-righteous and has not changed. He uses the female protagonist's son to threaten the female protagonist and disrespects the female protagonist. He never considers the harm his actions cause to the female protagonist. I thought the author would write about the changes of the male protagonist in the later period, but it is a pity that he has never changed, only coercion and inducement. The badass heroine has seen through the true face of the male protagonist, but she is still easily manipulated by the male protagonist's cruel tricks. The loser is still the loser.
😭 I really can't stand the next few chapters. After I went to Mobei, I read the beginning of each chapter. It's like I've read all the chapters. I feel like chasing my wife in the crematorium is too embarrassing. There's no need to do this.
Why the hasty ending?
Wouldn't it be too cool? Your brain is broken!
