The Obsession: A sweet second-chance romance about getting back together, currently serializing. Blurb below.
Blurb:
As a young man, Wen Yuye was proud, aloof, and refined, yet he treated Yan Weiyi with endless tenderness.
At their high school graduation party, Yan Weiyi confessed to him in front of everyone, but he coldly turned her down. “I’ve never liked you.”
Ten years later, they meet again at a class reunion, where someone brings up the incident.
Yan Weiyi shrugs. “I was young and foolish, captivated by his looks.”
Wen Yuye gazes at Yan Weiyi with his deep-set eyes and asks with interest, “Do I still have the looks to captivate you now?”
Yan Weiyi lifts her chin proudly. “Sorry, but this beauty doesn’t go back to old flames.”
Wen Yuye has always been thoughtful in everything he does. By the age of twenty-eight, the one thing he regrets is rejecting a girl’s heartfelt confession when he was eighteen.
Everyone knows that girl is the moonlight in his heart.
To win her back, he racks his brains and pulls out every trick.
That includes, but is not limited to, becoming Yan Weiyi’s tenant, enduring all kinds of exploitation, and signing a stack of unfair agreements.
But he enjoys every minute of it.
Yan Weiyi eats the delicious meal he prepared and warns him, “Wen Yuye, don’t think I can’t see what you’re up to. Sweet talk and little treats won’t work on me.”
Wen Yuye hands her a glass of warmed milk and bends down to gaze into her eyes. “I’m going to treat you wonderfully, so that when you meet someone who treats you a thousand times better, you won’t give him a second glance.”
Because I still love you, just as much as ever.
Eventually, Yan Weiyi goes back to her old flame. To declare her claim, she posts on WeChat Moments:
“I admit I’m shallow. If this handsome plant is always right in front of me, who could resist eating it every day? I can’t!”
The photo shows Wen Yuye in an apron, busy in the kitchen. His sharp, striking features are softened by tenderness.
A little later, Wen Yuye replies: “Good girl. Come back to the room and eat your plant.”

The Obsession: Second-Chance Romance Blurb
The new CEO parachuted into the company is Jiang Xiaoqiu’s ex-boyfriend, whom she broke up with six years ago.
Back then, she had boldly plucked this aloof, unattainable flower, only to dump him less than six months later.
When they meet again, the man has shed his youthful awkwardness. He is refined and distinguished, with cool, distant features.
He gives her a brief, indifferent glance.
He can’t even be bothered to say, “Long time no see.”
Just as Jiang Xiaoqiu assumes they’ll carry on like strangers, the man becomes her roommate, paying triple the rent.
-
Under the same roof, Shen Yanhuai remains as proud and distant as ever.
He takes the title of “roommate” very seriously, though.
She comes home late at night, and the slight-built man is standing at the entrance to the residential complex. He says he came out for a midnight snack, then turns around and goes home with her.
“As your roommate, I have to make sure you’re safe.”
She comes down with acute gastroenteritis, and the man, away on a business trip in a neighboring city, drives back through the night just to take her to the hospital.
“As your roommate, I have to look after your health.”
Later, the man offers to prepare all three meals for her.
“Don’t get the wrong idea. It’s a roommate perk.”
Until eventually, he starts sabotaging her blind dates.
At a fancy restaurant, her date says, “I hear you’re still sharing an apartment with someone. Move out and come live with me in my villa.”
At the next table, Shen Yanhuai rises unhurriedly, his expression turning somber.
“I’m her roommate. If you don’t mind, can I come too?”
-
At a company dinner, everyone plays Truth or Dare.
Someone asks Shen Yanhuai, “When was the last time you felt your heart flutter?”
After a long silence, the man chooses to drink.
When everyone else has left, Shen Yanhuai is about to help a drunk Jiang Xiaoqiu home, but she grabs his tie and pulls him down.
He catches himself on the sofa, barely avoiding falling on top of her.
In the hazy light, he hears her ask, “When was the last time your heart fluttered?”
Looking at her red lips, so close to his, he lets out a soft sigh.
“Just now.”
