The Tianyu clan is born auspicious, bringing abundance of food and clothing to the world and bearing the sword intent of Time Mountain to protect peace across the land.
They are favored by the Great Dao and blessed with boundless merit.
Yet they can save the world, but not themselves.
Generation after generation, the divine beasts meet tragic ends, until only one young beast remains. Its name is Yu.

Yu has lived two lives.
In its first life, before it had even hatched, it was already burdened with the sword intent of the whole mountain and tangled in curses. Born prematurely, it was frail and weak.
Later, it chose Yong Huage as its companion, only to be abandoned in an abyss ten thousand miles deep, where it died.
The Heavenly Dao raged. The sword intent of Time Mountain surged forth, and the world was overturned.
In its second life, Yu awakens a hundred years before its birth. The previous generation of Tianyu still exists, and Yu is still an egg.

Born under an unlucky star, neglected by her parents in favor of others, bullied by her fellow disciples...
Yong Huanan has never really had any complaints.
Even after her twin sister frames her and she falls into Time Mountain, her clear eyes remain calm and unruffled.
But the illusions of Time Mountain reveal an absurd play written by the immortals of the previous era: the entire spirit realm is sacrificed to the Mary Sue life of its heroine, Yong Huage. The apocalypse begins with the death of the heroine's first spirit pet.
The world collapses. War rages and smoke fills the sky. Families are torn apart, homes destroyed, and devastation stretches as far as the eye can see.
A feeling of compassion, deep in the woman's nature, is inexplicably stirred.
So while the people hail Yong Huage as a bodhisattva who saves the suffering, Yong Huanan accepts Time Mountain's legacy and silently pays the price of having her soul shattered to reverse fate. She finds the little beast's innocent soul and sends it into reincarnation.
"Little Yu, keep your eyes open next time. Don't let anyone trick you into leaving again."
That was the tenderness Yu had waited a lifetime for.
This time, it swears that even if it has to abandon the whole world, it will protect this one tenderness.
