Su E is a little zombie.

Ten years into the apocalypse, he fell into a patch of mutated plants while fleeing Esper users.

When he opened his eyes again, he had transmigrated into the cultivation world, into the corpse of someone who had been lying dead in a pile of bones for days.

The original body's meridians were severed, it was afflicted with several deadly poisons, and someone had run a sword through its heart. Yet, strangely, the body had not begun to rot.

Su E was completely unfazed.

Wasn't this just a cultivation-world version of a zombie?

Su E had this to say: It has crystal cores, and you can absorb spiritual energy to evolve and level up. Who's to say this doesn't count as cultivation?

Passing Elder A: You're right... But what do you mean, someone formed a core before even beginning to draw in qi?

Elder B: Wait, who forms a core in their brain?!

[Bonus Scene]

As the disciple of Cangxuan Sect's top sword cultivator, Su E committed a few principles to memory:

Sword cultivators have to look cool, so tie your ponytail high.

Sword cultivators are poor, so you need a lucrative side hustle, like alchemy.

Your master is powerful, so learn to act cute and ingratiate yourself to borrow his clout.

Senior Brother A from the Alchemy Hall: "...Stop, junior brother. You've poisoned everyone unconscious."

Senior Sister B: "What did you put in the cauldron?"

Su E: "My blood OvO."

And so, before Zombie Alchemist could get halfway through his work, he was kicked out of the Alchemy Hall. Animals were also forbidden from entering.

Su E immediately returned to the Sword Peak and clung to his master's leg, sobbing.

Xu Jingshen, who was usually quiet and liked his peace: "There's an alchemy cauldron at the Sword Peak too."

Su E: "OvO"

Xu Jingshen: "It's only for alchemy."

Su E: "o_O"

Xu Jingshen: "...Do as you like."
