[Blurb]
Su Lan transmigrates forty years into the past and becomes Chen Sulan, a left-behind wife in a remote mountain village.
Looking at the chubby baby babbling on the kang, then thinking of her husband far away and the money he sends every month, she figures that she's had enough of being a migrant worker in a big city. A change of scenery might be nice.
But only after she begins to accept the reality of her transmigration does she realize that she has entered a period novel.
The frustrating part is that she's not the female lead. She's merely a background character, the country wife of Han Ming, a supporting male character in the book.
Unlike the male and female leads, who come from privileged backgrounds and enjoy a happy, well-matched romance, Han Ming was born in the countryside. Through hard work, however, he rose quickly through the ranks in the military and had a bright future ahead of him. The trouble was, a hero deserves a good wife, and his country wife was clearly not good enough for him.
This country wife was uneducated, vain, and shallow, and her husband never liked her. But Su Lan is delighted. Sure, the original owner wasn't educated, but she was strong as an ox and lived a long life! And sure, her husband never liked her, but she never lacked for material comforts!
Su Lan finally puts her mind at ease. As long as she doesn't behave like the original owner, making life miserable for everyone and driving a wedge between mother and son, or cause her husband to die unexpectedly at a crucial point in his career, Han Ming won't mistreat her. She can go on living a carefree life. Who needs to envy the male and female leads in the book?
She's made up her mind to lie flat and cling to the supporting male lead's coattails. But why is he the one coming to her?
Theme: Live life with care.
"After Han Cheng came home from school..." This gave the author a big clue~
"The person next to me who said the last words..." Give the author a big bug ~ Han Cheng
It's a pity that the second half was a little rushed. I hope there will be extras to complete it.
The ending is so gentle. Unfortunately, I felt that the life of the army was written very roughly and not detailed enough. The career line of the heroine was too late and was not elaborated on in detail.
Congratulations on the completion, spread the flowers 🌹
The end of the flower-sprinkling [bursts of tears] [bursts of tears] [bursts of tears] is a very tender ending... How about a modern chapter in the extra chapter 🙏 🙏 🙏 Of course, I am also looking forward to the new story.
