Nothing but Trouble

Bai Yu's thirty-year friendship with her childhood friend, pure and untainted, was ruined beyond repair.

The moment Gu Yu suddenly leaned over on a whim and kissed her, purity sprouted wings and waved goodbye to her.

Bai Yu felt her heart pounding wildly at 120 beats per second and couldn't help sighing. They say women in their thirties are like tigers. Does that mean after just a few years without a man, I can't even resist the grass growing close to home? Am I a little too ferocious for a tiger?

Bai Yu's heart felt like it had fallen into a tangled pile of yarn.

She asked her mother, "How about keeping the good stuff in the family and settling down with Gu Yu?"

Her mother gave her a look of utter dismay. "Hold it right there. You're not good stuff. You're aqua regia."

At last, the slow-to-catch-on aqua regia, Bai Yu, figured out her feelings. She decided to turn around and give Gu Yu a chance.

Huh? Where is he?

In the end, his momentary whim, after settling and fermenting, turned into her long, lonely unrequited love.

Bai Yu couldn't help feeling exasperated. She threw her head back and cried, "What kind of girl does that guy even like?!"

Gu Yu smiled like he'd won the lottery. "Bai Yu, guess what? I like girls like you."
