I'll Take Five Million

Su Ling pursued her deskmate for three years, doing all kinds of stupid things that only an immature kid would do for him. Her deskmate smoked and drank, sported a poop-yellow perm, and picked fights with every teacher at school. She thought he was so cool! Even if the whole world disapproved, Su Ling still had eyes for him. But the jerk wouldn't leave the campus beauty's side, flashing Su Ling a wicked smile and reciting lines from childish romance novels: "Woman, stop dreaming. I won't marry anyone older than me." "I'm a man you'll never get." * As an adult, Su Ling came to her senses. Ashamed that she'd fallen for an immature boy with a poop-yellow perm, she walked away without hesitation. As an adult, the jerk came to his senses too, regretting over and over that he'd been blind and turned Su Ling down. * They met again. The jerk had dyed his poop-yellow hair back to a normal black, removed his earrings and tattoos, and completely changed his image. When Su Ling went fishing, he jumped into the lake with a splash and shouted for help. Su Ling rescued him. Taking advantage of the fact that Su Ling didn't recognize him, the jerk said, "You saved my life. I'll give you two choices. One: five million. Two: marry me, a handsome man who's the heir to the He Group and a graduate of an Ivy League school." Su Ling: "I'll take the five million." The jerk wasn't satisfied. "Two choices: five million, or marry me, a 185-centimeter-tall man with an eight-pack, top-tier looks, a fortune to my name, and who's devoted to you alone after we marry." Su Ling: "Five million." The jerk was furious. "Why?" Su Ling raised her eyes. "I won't marry a man with an IQ of 250." Theme: Growing up means understanding the truth about life.
