The Host Doesn't Play by the Rules [Quick Transmigration]

[The long hiatus caused major problems later in the story. I don't think it's very good, so I don't really recommend it.]

Every Mary Sue heroine has a male supporting character or a cannon fodder character who would bang his head against a wall for her. Xie Mingxi, who always had everything under control and sat securely on the throne, transmigrated into the role of one of them.

System: You're no longer the supreme ruler. You have to follow the script I give you and stick to the plot.

Xie Mingxi: ??

I don't even know how to write the word puppet, let alone be one!

[1. The Unluckiest Emperor]

System: You're the emperor who dismisses his harem for the heroine. You give her power and wealth, then set her free in the name of love.

Xie Mingxi: Do I look like the sort of person who'd get caught up in love and neglect governing?

Ignoring the System's protests, he governed with benevolence, pacified the realm within and drove back its enemies without, then conquered the Central Plains and brought an end to the age of chaos.

As for the Mary Sue heroine, she was on the run with the male lead.

System: ?!

[2. Love-Struck Top-Tier Star]

System: You're a top-tier star in the entertainment industry, and also the real young master of a powerful family who disappeared years ago. You introduce the heroine to influential people and keep giving her money, openly protect her, and even after you die, your value is exploited to help her reach the top of the industry.

Xie Mingxi: Would I throw away a bright future to get caught up in love?

System: What kind of nonsense are you going to pull this time?

[3. The Archvillain Pope]

System: You're a charlatan pope. There isn't a heroine this time. You're just the spark that ignites a movement for the emancipation of thought, and a mere backdrop. Just do your part.

Xie Mingxi: How could I be someone who goes with the flow and harms the people?

Content warnings: wish fulfillment, overpowered golden finger, illogical and simplistic writing.
