Midsummer Light Years

This is a coming-of-age story set in a middle school. Zhang Yang and Yiyi are close friends. One night, after getting drunk, the hooligan Zhong Yaohai assaults Zhang Yang, setting off a chain of events between them. Zhong Yaohai, who hates studying and spends his days fighting, and Zhang Yang eventually fall for each other and become dependent on one another. But the way they met means neither can easily let go. Xia Yan is a stubborn girl, and Liu Xiao'ang has been her childhood friend for as long as she can remember. Later, Liu Xiao'ang confesses his feelings to Xia Yan, but the arrival of Guo Fanfan leads to a series of misunderstandings and separates them. While running away from home, Xia Yan meets Cao Lin and Gai Xiaoran.
