The Madam's Bodyguard Is Her Lover

Zhao Yanfei was born into a family of scholars, with an air of bookish refinement. Her beauty was elegant and serene, as pure as a snowy mountain and as luminous as the moon. She rarely smiled and was, in every sense, an icy beauty. She was betrothed to Fu Yunheng, the young master of the Chancellor's household, from childhood, and married him in obedience to her parents' wishes. But she discovered that Fu Yunheng did not love her. His heart belonged only to his sworn younger sister. One day, she confronted that sworn sister. The frail young woman looked as though a breeze could knock her over. Before Zhao Yanfei had even reached out, she collapsed to the ground, weeping piteously. Fu Yunheng accused Zhao Yanfei without bothering to find out what had happened. Furious, Zhao Yanfei left the Chancellor's residence with her servants and went to her family's country estate. On the way, she came across an injured man. After he recovered, he said he wanted to repay her. While tending to his wounds, she saw his body: long-limbed, with firm muscles. It was obvious that he was powerfully built from head to toe. Zhao Yanfei needed a bodyguard, so she hired him for the job. The man proved conscientious. Wherever Zhao Yanfei went, he followed close behind and protected her well. Even when she merely furrowed her brow, he would ask, "Madam, are you feeling unwell?" He was attentive, but Zhao Yanfei couldn't help feeling that something was off. One day, she heard that Fu Yunheng and his sworn sister had become lovers. He had trampled on her dignity so badly that she could no longer bear it. After sixteen years of behaving like a proper young lady, she abandoned her reserve for the first time and pushed open the man's door. She walked over and sat beside him, cupped his face in both hands, and, with tears still on her cheeks, asked, "Do you want to kiss me?" His eyes burned with desire as his strong arms wrapped tightly around her. In a hoarse voice, he said, "Madam, I want to... I want to very much." Theme: After a dark tunnel, another village appears
