After a relationship ends, she enters a period of hibernation. But the pressure of senior year and unexpected new relationships make her yearn for security. She looks up at a view she has never seen before, and it seems someone is quietly looking down at her, too. Then the summer cicadas begin to sing, and love deepens. (The heroine is a little bit of a jerk, but she's still growing, so please be patient with her.)
