After I Died, I Became the Beloved of All My Ministers

Also known as The Stolen Seal, Return to the Palace, and The Emperor's Ascension

Zhao Jue is the emperor of the Great Liang dynasty. She ascended the throne as a woman, used an iron fist to eliminate her enemies, won the submission of the court officials, and filled her harem with three thousand beauties.

Sadly, overwork took its toll, and she died suddenly.

When she opens her eyes again, the once-great empress has been reborn as a frail imperial clanswoman. She discovers that only half a year has passed since her death, yet the capital has descended into chaos. Rebels have stormed the imperial city, and the country has nearly fallen.

The traitors use the new emperor as a puppet and choose Zhao Jue to serve as regent, putting her back on the throne.

She vows to kill the traitors with her own hands and reclaim her realm.

But while Zhao Jue is absorbed in her career-focused script, she has no idea that everyone around her is following a romance script instead.

First, the traitor Qin Qianchi. Once, he knelt before her and offered up his military seal, volunteering to enter the palace. The empress ordered him to guard the border for ten years before he could return to the capital. But in the tenth year, he received the news of the empress's death and raced back to the capital like a madman.

Second, Chancellor Li Zhaoyu. After the empress died, he resigned and retired to the southern mountains, praying before the Buddha day and night: If there is another life, let her be born into the imperial family again, so she can fulfill the great ambitions left unfinished in this life.

Third, imperial consort Zheng Xiuzhu. A graduate of the Hanlin Academy, he was chosen by the new emperor for his exceptional beauty. Proud of his scholar's integrity, he nevertheless has no choice but to set aside his dignity and use his looks to seduce her.

Fourth, female official Xie Lanting. After helping the new emperor ascend the throne, she devotes herself to writing the late emperor's biography and compiling the history. A woman's history should not be written by men. She will fulfill the late emperor's last wish and ensure that a great female emperor is remembered through the ages.
