[Seeking support for my upcoming novel, A Side Character’s Guide to Survival in a Comic! Even a cannon-fodder passerby can defy fate and change their destiny!] [The author’s notes include lots of free bonus skits. We recommend not blocking them, and subscribing to the official version.] Rules-based horror stories have descended upon the world. Every one that appears signals the deaths of countless people. The only way to get out alive is to clear the story. Ten years after the rules-based horror stories arrived, the Global Joint Association for Horror Story Research compiled a set of general rules. The Universal Rulebook for Horror Stories 1. Don’t lose yourself in a horror story. Remember, you are human, with exactly two eyes, one nose, and one mouth. 2. Make sure you know the correct time in the story. It will help you stay clearheaded. Losing track of time may mean you are lost forever. 3. Look for as many rules as you can, but don’t believe any rule too easily. 4. The more rules you find, the easier it is to attract Its attention. 5. Keep thinking. 6. Play your current role well. In a horror story, you could be any species. You can be any species. After transmigrating into this world, Su Rong unexpectedly acquired a “contamination detector” that can help her identify rules contaminated by It. Looking at the blood-red rules in the handbook for newcomers, which meant they had already been contaminated by It, Su Rong said, “...This world really is doomed, isn’t it!” Reader’s Guide: 1. Highlighted note: Please don’t send unsolicited writing advice! 2. Even with a golden finger, the heroine won’t instantly become the strongest. 3. The male lead doesn’t appear often, but he’s not just set dressing. Please check out my upcoming novel and show it some love~ A Side Character’s Guide to Survival in a Comic Synopsis: Su Bei, an F-rank freshman at a school for people with supernatural abilities, awakens a new power on the day of enrollment. Only then does he discover that the world they live in is a comic, and the protagonist is his classmate, Lin Moyan. But that’s not the point. The point is that in the next chapter, he, Su Bei, will die horribly in a bathroom! This will kick off the shonen protagonist’s first challenge at the school for people with supernatural abilities. Su Bei: ... The one piece of good news is that this chapter hasn’t been published yet. And with the right moves, he can change the comic’s direction and save himself from his cannon-fodder fate. Everyone knows that becoming friends with the protagonist doesn’t necessarily save you from a plot-induced death, but if you become the protagonist’s enemy, you’re sure to lose to them. Beneath the blazing sun, the golden-haired youth grinned with carefree insolence. Yet his purple eyes held a solemn glint. “I salute you on behalf of fate, you biggest unlucky loser of this generation~” ** The supernatural academy anime King of Superpowers is all the rage right now. Its protagonist, Lin Moyan, is beloved by audiences for his resolute, fearless personality, which sets him apart from the sunny protagonists of other classic shonen manga. The comic has finally reached the academy arc that audiences have been waiting for. A new character, neither wholly good nor wholly evil, is quickly gaining popularity. He’s unpredictable, flippant, and cold-blooded. He’s always tripping up the protagonist’s group, watching them struggle with mocking indifference. But as the comic goes on... The cunning guy who always seemed above it all gives his life to buy time for the protagonist’s group. Behind the youth’s brilliant, carefree smile lies the deepest helplessness. He knew the ending from the very beginning, yet for his friends, he resolutely charged toward a tomorrow with no future. The forum is in an uproar. [Su Bei, sob! You could have stayed out of it.] [A cute, gentle villain! I’m buying all his merch!] [The ending has to be happy! I refuse to accept a world where Su Bei is the only one who disappears!] Su Bei, who knows all about the tragic beauty of gorgeous, doomed characters, blinked innocently. “I didn’t lie to anyone. I was only trying to save myself~” One last recommendation: my friend’s novel The Game Boss Keeps Saying I’m Spying on Him Author: 6M ID: 6089153 Synopsis: Bai Ming, who is blind, accidentally enters a horror game and awakens a special talent. Does it make any sense for [Shameless] to be a talent?” Watching Bai Ming slice up the flayed ghost’s skin, choke the hanging ghost, and kick the lame ghost’s bad leg. Game: … Game: “You’re the one who needs to think this through!” After punching the boss into the sky, Bai Ming realized... this “invincibility” was actually pretty great! - The god of The Endless Horror is a terrifying presence who makes every player tremble. He’s covered in blood, merciless and cold, and everywhere at once. They say... nobody escapes him alive! But what the players don’t know is that The fearsome god they speak of is being held by the wrist by a newcomer, forced to kiss, until a blush that won’t fade spreads to the corners of his eyes.
