My novel "The Wild Goose Returns" is complete. Check out more good stories on my author page!
Yang Huixiang is the daughter of a military family. She lived boldly and freely in the desert north, and only ever stumbled over one person: her childhood sweetheart, Li Yanxi.
The Yang family was ordered to the capital. She hinted at her feelings and invited him to go with her, but he declined, saying he had military duties. A Hui thought: He's reserved by nature. Maybe he just didn't catch what I was getting at.
When she arrived in the capital, she discovered that the man she loved had gone from an unknown junior officer to a powerful heir who could stir the winds of change. A Hui hoped against hope: He must have had a good reason for hiding who he was.
In the end, he got his wish and ascended to the throne of Prince of Huainan. She thought the clouds had finally parted and the moon had emerged, only to hear that he had summoned his concubine.
She loved passionately, and she ended things decisively. She was better off without that bastard! There were plenty of talented young men at the academy in Shu Commandery, and she was thriving there. But one day, she unexpectedly ran into him. He was full of murderous rage and fury, yet the moment he saw her, his eyes reddened and his knees buckled. He pulled her tightly into his arms. "A Hui, I was going crazy looking for you..."
A Hui coolly removed his hand. "And you are?"

The husband chases his wife to the crematorium | Married first, love later | Size difference | A hero makes a vow and gets face-slapped over and over.
The heroine's perspective:
Lin Meizhu is a concubine-born daughter, but she's betrothed to Shen Changfeng, a dissolute heir.
On their wedding night, the jade ruyi used to lift her red veil knocks her phoenix coronet askew. Shen Changfeng looks at her with cold, mocking eyes.
Lin Meizhu knows her status is low and doesn't dare ask for his affection. She only hopes he'll gradually change his opinion of her. All she wants is a peaceful, uneventful life.
At the Qionglin Banquet, deep in a bamboo grove, a beauty blocks Shen Changfeng's path, tears streaming down her face as she demands, "How much longer are you going to stay angry with me? That night, the emperor named the wrong person. Why didn't you say so? When are you going to divorce her?"
Only then does Lin Meizhu realize that he married her over a mere angry remark. She's like a clown in a play, toyed with by them and made a laughingstock.
After pouring her heart and soul into a lost cause, Lin Meizhu finally comes to her senses. He probably never liked her at all, and now he intends to cruelly strip away her last shred of dignity and self-respect.
Her childhood sweetheart, who has come from far away, watches the two of them arguing and asks her, "Is that your husband?"
Lin Meizhu turns away, her expression cool. "Not for much longer."
The hero's perspective:
His father is the Prince of Dingbei, and his mother is the current emperor's elder sister. Shen Changfeng was born a heaven-blessed darling.
At a palace banquet, the drunken old emperor chose a notorious concubine-born daughter to be his wife.
Shen Changfeng resented the match, but had no choice but to accept it.
After the wedding, Shen Changfeng discovers that his wife isn't as bad as the rumors claim. On the contrary, she's talented, beautiful, gentle, and good at managing a household. He gradually falls in love with her. At one point, he thinks that if he ever has a daughter, he hopes she'll be as gentle and serene as his wife.
One afternoon, he unexpectedly learns that before his wife was betrothed, she had someone she loved. That person is the newly appointed third-place winner in the imperial examinations.
He doesn't care: So what? Now her heart and eyes are full of me.
He thinks he's the real winner in life.
The winner in life decides to go meet his former rival in love, only to witness the entire affair with his own eyes: a man's hand gripping the armrest, veins bulging; a woman's shoulders bent low and trembling with restraint; and the two of them scrambling to put on their clothes and leave when they realize someone is approaching.
Shen Changfeng is so furious he could fly, and charges off with a huge saber in hand, only to run straight into Lin Meizhu.
His wife takes the camellia from her hair and pins it into his coronet herself, smiling gently. "Husband, you look even more handsome than today's third-place winner."
After taking a deep breath, he points the blade the other way and pretends nothing is wrong. "My lady, I'll show you a new saber technique I've been practicing."
Should he forgive her?
She may have done something unfaithful to him, but she's never said a single bad word about him, right? Right.
Men make mistakes, and women make mistakes too. She must have acted on impulse. Right? Yes.
Then he should forgive her, okay? Okay.
The day after he talked himself into it, his wife asked for a divorce.
Shen Changfeng completely broke down.

P.S.
1. This is a one-on-one romance. The hero and heroine are each other's only partners, and the ending is happy.
2. Neither lead is perfect. The hero's biggest flaw is his stubborn mouth (for a few chapters). The heroine is weak at first, but gradually finds her strength. Once she wakes up, the story is all about making couples jealous.
3. The hero is a model of male virtue (important!!!)
4. Meizhu means the pearl said to be held in a fox's mouth in folk legends. It is said that wearing one will make everyone in the world love you. To me, bright, charming, and alluring are all compliments.
Theme: Embrace the people you love with sincere feelings!
Hahahaha, Ah Fen, please grow some food!! Happy Christmas Eve!!!
"Two people." This is a big bug for the author~
I thought she was a heroic lady, but she turned out to be...
"Female Palace" is a big thorn in the side of the author~ female officer
