Secretly in Love with Little Jasmine

Xu Nian stayed with the Lu family for a while during her third year of middle school, where she met Lu Zheng.

He thought she was an illegitimate daughter, and she thought he was a spoiled rich kid. They didn't get along very well.

Later, he helped her look for a cat all night, then treated it to cat food. Xu Nian decided to repay him by tutoring the spoiled rich kid.

Xu Nian: "I'll tutor you, since I suppose I have to."

Lu Zheng: "Well, thank you very much."

Then Xu Nian and Lu Zheng got into the same high school, and the grade rankings revealed that the spoiled rich kid had actually placed third in the whole city.

Xu Nian realized she'd been fooled, but the rich kid cornered her on the way home from school. "Miss Xu, not coming to tutor me anymore?"

Xu Nian snapped, "Get out of my way!"

Lu Zheng pointed at a group of boys up ahead. "Keep your voice down. The guys are watching."

Xu Nian lowered her voice. "Can you move now?"

Lu Zheng leaned down and tucked a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. "I really want you to come tutor me today. You don't have to tutor me, though. Just come by."
