After Resigning, I Became the Lord

Revised several times. The pirated and official versions differ a lot, so thank you to every lovely reader who supports the official release! Cecil was bound as a Host to a piece of high-tech equipment calling itself the Dream System. It said it would take him to another world to fulfill his dream of building infrastructure. He thought he was going to make a name for himself, with a golden finger and high-tech tools to develop his territory and become a regional lord! He never expected to be kidnapped by the Demon King as soon as he arrived and forced to become a saint. After years of biding his time, he finally managed to escape while the Demon King was injured. But it turned out that becoming a lord, as promised, meant planting trees in the snow and greening the land! [Detected that saplings lack water. Host, please water them.] [Detected that snow has accumulated on the saplings, preventing growth. Host, please clear the snow and loosen the soil.] [Warning! Warning! An intruder is stealing saplings! Warning! Warning!] Cecil: ... What a lying System! What infrastructure dream? What territorial upgrades? It was all just to make the territory better for growing trees! Cecil was furious with embarrassment. “Is this my dream? This is ridiculous!” * A few years later, Xise City had developed rapidly, its residents were living happy lives, and it had become one of the most popular territories. When they asked their lord what had caused the territory to grow so quickly, he replied with a humorless smile, “So I could plant more trees.” Everyone: ??? A little scene: A little black dragon with a head injury wandered through the vast snowy plains, clutching a portrait he had drawn and tearfully searching for someone. “Have you seen my wife? He looks like this. He took my oil painting worth three hundred million, seven night pearls as big as heads, and a pink diamond called the Heart of Hope. It was the token of our love that I gave him... Waaaah, where did my wife go...” Cecil denied everything three times over: “What dragon? I don't know anything. Don't ask me.” [Coming soon: The Villainous Demon Lord Becomes the Beloved of the Interstellar World] [They Are Spellbound by Me] Please check them out!
