Synopsis
After Lin Cheng died, she studied hard at the Underworld Academy, hoping to graduate and become a civil servant with a steady paycheck.
But ideals are always beautiful, and she got stuck on her graduation project.
The project told the story of a heroine who starts out as an unknown with no connections, encounters love and all kinds of events in the entertainment industry, grows through it all, and rises to become a top-tier star.
The heroine was gentle yet strong, the hero an all-around sweetheart, and the antagonist a domineering CEO who was hopelessly devoted to her. The whole thing was melodramatic and very showbiz. Even Lin Cheng, who had once been a major star in the Chinese entertainment industry while alive, kept exclaiming, "Wow," as she wrote.
Unfortunately, perhaps because she'd crammed in too many trendy elements, the world took an increasingly bizarre turn. In the end, the handsome, extravagant villain CEO, who was supposed to shower the heroine with love and money later on, abandoned the identity she'd carefully designed for him. He paid to join a variety show, put himself in the spotlight, and howled like a ghost, all to steal the heroine's debut spot!
Seriously? A little debut spot, and a billionaire like you has to get involved personally?
Lin Cheng had no idea where to begin with her complaints.
To graduate on time, she had no choice but to enter her own project and try every way she could to persuade the villain to mend his ways.
First performance:
Judge A: "That was a brilliant, spectacular performance. You should debut right now!"
Judge B: "Your performance isn't in my area of expertise, but I know you're the best."
Lin Cheng pointed at their pockets, stuffed with bribes. "Sorry, but you don't qualify."
After a series of events in which you save me, I save you, you love me, I don't love you, and then it turns out you fell for me after all...
Final performance:
Judge A, who had taken money from the villain's rival company: "As expected of our CEO. You're well-rounded in every way, but you're not quite suited to the entertainment industry. Go home and take over the family business."
Judge B, who had taken money from the hero's company: "What do your singing and dancing have to do with my rap? Zero points! Zero points! Get out!"
Lin Cheng looked at the villain, who had played the harmonica throughout without singing or dancing. "Uh..."
The judges tactfully went silent. The director, who had pocketed a mountain of money, offered encouragement from afar, trying to tempt Lin Cheng with the prospect of money so she would talk the now-bankrupt villain into quitting.
Lin Cheng coughed and said with a wry smile, "Actually, he's pretty good. I'll give him my vote."
So what if he's bankrupt? If you can satisfy me, the Creator can make you a billionaire in an instant.
She asked the villain, "So, do you want it?"
The villain stepped out of the graduation project. Hearing her, he smiled and hugged her tightly. "I only want you."
A timid former star who was a pitiful little thing in life and in death x A former general who avoids women, looks cold and menacing, but is pure-hearted and old-fashioned inside.
