Synopsis
What is a romance that begins in middle school like?
Awkwardness and innocence might be the words for it.
Just making it to high school is hard enough, let alone staying together for a lifetime.
And reality has never been as simple as a novel. Natural disasters and human calamities can both destroy a beautiful, fragile relationship.
But that was youth, too. They laughed, cried, went wild, and made a scene. Do they regret it?
Yu Yue doesn't know. She doubts Qi Yin knows, either.
But after leaping into the void, Yu Yue thought that perhaps everything in the past had become nothing more than an illusion, scattered by the wind.
Who owed whom anything, anyway?
Tough and strong, aloof, a little tsundere X Quirky and gentle, but timid
One-on-one romance. Whether this is a happy or tragic ending is a little hard to explain. The main story ends, but not entirely, and then the extras get a happy ending. It's an unusual approach.
By that logic, it should still count as a happy ending.
Warnings:
1. The story opens with a jump from a building, then goes back to middle school, and later returns to the jump. I like this style and wanted to give it a try, but it could easily go wrong, so here's a warning.
2. There's a lot of everyday-life content. The romance shouldn't drag, and the early part will be very sweet. There will be heartbreak later. I'm likely to be bad at writing angst, since I've only written sweet stories before. This is a new attempt. The angst may very well be wrapped up hastily, so consider this your heads-up.
3. The blurb says Qi Yin is cold on the outside, warm on the inside, and strong, so she'll do certain things for certain reasons. Yu Yue is timid, and sometimes she can be extreme. Consider this a warning. When the angst comes later, I don't want people to tear into the characters too harshly. I won't accept that, friends!
4. There's romance early on, and maybe quite a bit of it. So, another warning. If that's not for you, please think twice before reading.
5. This is my first original novel, friends! I used to be a little fanfiction writer, so this book is a whole new experiment for me.
A few standing notes:
1. No putting other works down! No astroturfing! I'm not worthy!
2. Please forgive my writing. If it's not your thing, just move on. Let's part on good terms, and please don't come insult me. Thank you, dear.
3. No plagiarism. If I quote anything, I'll credit the source in the author's note.
4. None of the characters are perfect. They'll grow, probably.
5. If you're coming to this story from one of my other works, please read the warnings before you start. Different stories may have different content, so choose the kind of story you like.
Theme: Everyone is given a different challenge in life. Some are simply very hard. If you get a difficult script, don't give up.
