I had an ex-boyfriend who killed people, set fires, and ate children.
He was not only a psycho, but abusive, too. Then one day, he accidentally killed me, and I slept for several hundred years.
But he didn't know that our lives were bound together. So, several hundred years later, I came back to life, waking up in the body of a girl named Chikawa Ena.
After finally getting a second chance at life, I decided to leave my old world behind. A few years later, I planned to make money and elope with my mature, dependable guardian.
I was living a perfectly nice life as a high school girl aspiring to be a good wife and mother, occasionally bickering with the strongest white-haired guy, when one day my unlucky ex-boyfriend came back to life, too.
I couldn't outrun him, and I couldn't kill him, so I had no choice but to face all of this.
My little sea-urchin-haired childhood friend asked me, "What does it mean to die the right way?"
I answered, "You should ask what it means to live the right way."
I want to be a person.
I want to live well.
I want... the people around me to stop dying.
A few things to know before reading:
1. The story is told in third person. This is a Mary Sue story with multiple routes and a 1v1 ending. The male lead has been chosen, but I can't spoil it (Sukuna is definitely out).
There are risks to picking a love interest, and the author is not responsible.
2. There are bad endings, changes to the original plot, and wild ideas. I won't avoid potential triggers. If there's anything you can't accept, please quietly leave. I don't accept writing advice.
3. Comments are always welcome!! You can also come find me on Weibo!! @OrangeTrain
4. This is the third world in the Chikawa Ena's Bizarre Adventures series. The previous story, a One Piece crossover, is called To the End of the Sea. Take a look at my profile if you're interested. Each world is a standalone story, so you can read this one on its own.
Theme: Even if you are born in darkness, you still have the right to pursue the light.
