After the war, Harry muddled through the rest of his life just as he had ever since he was born. His surviving friends and the loved ones who appeared in portraits all urged him to live well and make a life of his own. But every day, Harry carried on as he always had, like the perfect Chosen One.
His life was very short. In a Wizarding World where people lived to around two hundred, Harry returned to Merlin far too young, at what everyone considered the prime of life. The entire Wizarding World mourned the young Chosen One and grieved for his loss.
Harry never expected to meet Merlin after he died.
Even less did he expect to be so lucky.
The god of the Wizarding World said, "Harry, would you like to give it a try? You can live your life all over again."
Theme: I've always felt Harry lived a life others had planned for him. I wonder if, given the chance to choose, he could live as Harry Potter instead of as the Chosen One.
