My Childhood Friend Hates Me

[Highlight] Toxic relationship and angst. Read with caution.

To escape a love affair doomed from the start, Yu Xi went abroad to study when he was eighteen.

Six years later, he returned with a whole new look. His parents suddenly arranged a marriage for him, and his intended turned out to be the person he'd had a secret crush on all those years ago!

Yu Xi was so nervous his heart was practically leaping out of his chest. At the banquet, he asked him:

"Do you want to marry me?"

Ye Su answered coldly:

"No."

Yu Xi's heart shattered. He remembered how Ye Su had said in the past, ice-cold, "I hate men."

Yu Xi gave a cold laugh, grabbed Ye Su by the collar of his immaculate shirt, and curled his lips into a smile.

"You don't want to marry me? Then I'll make sure we get married."

Later, even though Ye Su and Yu Xi lived under the same roof, they were like strangers.

When Yu Xi realized he couldn't win Ye Su over, he packed his bags in despair and left behind divorce papers.

When Ye Su saw the empty house, with Yu Xi gone and nothing left but the divorce papers, he chased him from G City in the south to H City in the north. He pinned Yu Xi in a corner, eyes red, his voice both aggrieved and forceful.

"You already ran away once. You think you can run again?"
