Su Congyi tilts her head and smiles with childish innocence. "I was young and clueless. I was just having fun."

Five minutes later.

Miss Su slips out of the private room, turns a corner, and quietly warns her ex-boyfriend: "I told Yueyue that if I ever date again, I'll be a dog. Remember to keep your distance."

"How should I keep my distance?"

Chen Tingyan leans against the wall and looks down at her. Suddenly, he bends close and kisses the tip of her ear, his voice low and languid. "Like this, Miss Su Dog?"

Su Congyi: "...All right."

The two most outrageous things Cen Zhi has ever done are falling for Cheng Song and proposing to Xie Fengzhou.

"The Cheng family needs an alliance through marriage, and you're the best choice." She hands him a marriage agreement, feigning composure. "We can both get what we want."

The man across from her rests his chin on his hand and watches her trembling fingertips. After a moment, he smiles, perfectly at ease. "Sure."

He signs, his peach-blossom eyes curving like crescent moons. He looks every bit like a big bad wolf in sheep's clothing. "Let's work well together."

Much later, while sorting through her old high school things, Cen Zhi finds an anonymous love letter with yellowed edges.

It is from Xie Fengzhou, written when he was eighteen.

At the end, it says: To my premier amour

To my first love
