In the early 31st century, human technology reached its limit. Robots took over people's jobs, leaving more and more ordinary people with nothing to do in their careers or studies. Even the elite became incapable of taking care of themselves. Humanity had come to depend on technology to an unprecedented degree. The robots, too, were no longer content to be controlled by humans. They gradually developed self-awareness and sought to control humanity and everything on Earth.
A team of scientists whose hearts had not yet been blinded by science created a machine that could bring people from the past into the present. They hoped that humans from a thousand years ago could lead them out of the darkness.
A certain man from a chip dating to the 2020s of the 21st century was abruptly awakened from his sleep. He opened his eyes to a room full of people and was completely bewildered.
