Kisaragi Rukumei was an ordinary corporate drone. The most outrageous thing he'd ever done was fall for a pretty-faced man named Zenin Toji. After giving birth to their child, he grew weaker and weaker, and no medicine could help him. As he lay dying, he saw his partner's back nearly collapse at the thought of him leaving. Unable to bear it, Kisaragi Rukumei decided to be selfish just once. "Toji, I'm leaving Megumi in your care, okay?" Kisaragi Rukumei thought their blessing would keep the man by his side. But when an unlikely twist brought him back to life five years later, he found a home in ruins. His partner had not only casually taken in someone as a live-in son-in-law, but had also sold their child to the family he considered a trash can, and even managed to get himself killed.
