The sun and the cold moon love each other deeply, but an impassable distance lies between them. They are fated to appear at different times, one by day and the other by night. The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl can at least reunite for one day each year, but the sun and the cold moon can only gaze at each other forever, never to meet.
The Cold Star asks the Cold Moon, “Why must the Cold Moon love the sun?”
The Cold Moon replies, “Without the sun, people would never know the Cold Moon existed. So how could the Cold Moon not love the sun?”
