Wang Yun is a first-year high school student. When the new term begins, someone in her class starts targeting her. Her notebooks and textbooks disappear for no reason, rumors spread that she is dating her classmate Zhuo Kai, someone carves insults into her desk, and Zhao Liang, a boy in her class, slanders her. During the monthly exam, she is framed and nearly punished for cheating. Then a misunderstanding drives her and her best friend and desk mate, Zhang Xin, apart. Wang Yun struggles on, becoming more and more withdrawn. When her parents learn what has been happening at school, she feels more helpless than ever that night.
That night, she has a vivid dream. In it, she jumps to her death, then watches what happens afterward as though she were watching a movie. One by one, the classmates who targeted her are exposed. Wang Yun sees her parents arguing over her death, their fight even escalating to the point of divorce. She realizes how precious life is, then returns to reality.
From that day on, Wang Yun's outlook begins to change. She realizes that she was bullied because she was too vulnerable to stand up for herself, and that she had been unable to find a way out. She stops living inside her own little world and starts to change and grow, making an effort to befriend her classmates. Wang Yun doesn't want revenge, because that would make her no different from the people who targeted her. They each sought a cure for their own pain in the outside world. Everyone has their own growing pains, and the people around us are mirrors that show us where it hurts.
