Transmigrate into a Book: A Supporting Character in the 1970s

"Don't read this. I'll be doing a major rewrite when I have time!"

Lin Xi transmigrates into a period novel as a minor passerby and gets bound to a Passerby System. She wants to stay away from the plot, but the System threatens and tempts her into taking part.

As a passerby, she serves as the narrator, chiming in a few times to guide public opinion whenever the heroine stirs up trouble.

But... the heroine is the one causing trouble, so why is Lin Xi the one drawing all the hate?

Since she gets the same treatment as the heroine despite being a passerby, don't blame her for turning evil and ignoring the System's warnings.

She backs the heroine when she gets into trouble, covers for her when she sells goods, and hands her a knife when she fights. In short, Lin Xi is determined to latch onto the heroine!

With the heroine to lean on, Lin Xi thrives. But one day, the heroine becomes a lovesick fool, and Lin Xi gets so stuffed with romance-induced misery she feels like throwing up.

As it happens, the handsome pretty boy at the end of the village is also a passerby, and he catches Lin Xi's eye.

So Lin Xi makes a grand gesture and marries the pretty boy right into her home.
