Set during World War II, featuring warships and espionage.
German Navy captain seme x French intelligence service major uke
"My warship sank." "I blew it up."
"Your country has surrendered. Why haven’t you?" "I still have hope."
"You have to listen to me and stay alive." "I will fight to the very end."
He is a forest in the depths of the German north’s harsh winter, buried under snow. He is the sunlit shallows of the South of France in summer, rippling with light.
He drifted all the way from the turbulent Atlantic and landed on the other man’s island, occupying his city.
But the other man broke through his defenses from a wooden house by the sea and claimed his gaze for himself.
In this brutal, merciless war, they should not have fallen in love, and yet they loved each other deeply.
Please let time stop here, the proud captain humbly begged God.
Let him hold his nightingale, and let his nightingale hold his forest, too.
"Everything in this world is a combination of chance and necessity. Nothing has any absolute meaning. My love for you is the same, Major Rilke."
"The fighting will end eventually. We will never be apart."

Theme: You are the one flaw in my loyalty to my country.
This is the second time I have opened this article, three years after the first time. I was a sophomore in high school at the time, and I read this book in one sitting during the May Day holiday in 2022. I burst into tears on the bed. Later, I bought Marshal Raeder's "The Rise and Destruction". During evening study, I secretly pointed out the Scharnhorst in the book to my deskmate and gave her science-related stories... In fact, I don't have much historical reserves. They are limited to the compulsory content in high school and some knowledge I learned when I was working on AHP. Every time I open Teacher Mei Dai's article, I am always impressed by the richness of history she describes... The complex character relationships, various contradictions, and conflicts in the story shocked me. There is a deep entanglement between the characters, and all the love and hatred seem to be mixed together; the conflicts and antagonisms between emotions, identities, and beliefs are reflected in Ann and Shazo, Piper and Neumann, Rose and Vodka, William, Erich, Claire, Lancelot, and many others, and they also give a glimpse of the heaviness and cruelty of war. My favorite part is when the two drive through the city of Paris and through the Rambouillet forest, and Xia Zuo takes Ann back to his home. Teacher Meidai's description is so poetic and beautiful... In fact, every time they meet is very charming and beautiful, and it is even more poignant in the context of the war (I cried) Once again, I feel very lucky to have come across this article on the home page of fw three years ago. I am very grateful that I persisted in reading it. I am very grateful to Teacher Mei Dai for bringing us such a wonderful story with such mature and elegant writing and rich historical reserves. After a period of withdrawal I will open "June Barcarolle in East Berlin"
My relationship with this article on Funi Island is very strange. In August, I downloaded Zhihu again because of the lack of literature. One day, when I was browsing Zhihu, a question about the novel jumped into my eyes. After clicking on it, the first answer was written in big letters by Mei Dai. There are some fates that are difficult for you to explain clearly, like me and Funi Island. When I first saw the copy, I was persuaded to give up due to two factors: the background of World War II and the fact that the author did not sign a contract. Yes, I didn't even finish reading the copy before moving on to the next question. I haven't been using Zhihu for too long. From the day I registered my account to August this year, it only took less than two years. Yet I have received dozens of questions asking how my novel is going. Over time, I discovered a phenomenon, that is, most of the authors who asked questions would delete their articles, close their accounts and leave a few months after they asked the questions. This is why I rarely read novels recommended by the authors themselves - the writing is poor and easy to get into trouble. However, there are exceptions to everything, and I finally reached the answer at the beginning. After reading the text in its entirety, I was attracted by the opposition between the protagonist's camps and collected this novel. However, I did not expect at that time that I would actually pursue this novel for two or three months and finally read it. The following is my review after reading Funi Island. Because it has been so long since I finished reading, I have almost forgotten the names of many supporting characters. Please forgive me. I have been reading online novels since I was in junior high school, including danbi and romance. However, only a few of these novels I think are good. One of the reasons is that the supporting characters in those books are very distinct, not just dry background walls. There are a lot of CPs in Funi Island, and even two historical figures are inserted (this is awesome). In addition to Andreas and Xia Zuo, who are the most loved by everyone, a pair of CPs that left a deep impression on me and are particularly difficult to reconcile are An'er's subordinates, the little "killer" and Captain Piper (if I remember it wrong, I can only continue to be wrong). In fact, at the beginning, my impression of Captain Piper was not very good. Who made him do nothing all day long and always think about targeting An'er? After that, this guy actually tortured Xia Zuo! However, God reincarnates, Captain Piper's lover eventually died in his own arms, and he himself did not die well in the end. Doesn't it sound very satisfying? Well, if this guy's lover wasn't a little "killer", he would be worthy of the title (resist the urge to curse). Let's talk about the little "killer" again (I don't know why I always get him confused with Little Rhine recently). When the little "killer" first appeared, he was the killer An Er had trained since childhood, which led me to think that he was just a passerby whose only role was to highlight the charm of Andreas. But as the plot developed, I found that the little "killer" was a very cute and kind boy. He always said that he had been specially trained to take people's lives without mercy, but in fact the little "killer" never hurt anyone from beginning to end. The little "killer" is also particularly shy. I remember that at the beginning, Andreas sent him to secretly follow Xia Zuo, but he was soon discovered by Xia Zuo. Not only that, Xia Zuo also kissed the little "killer" in the bathhouse. After the kiss, Xia Zuo was still very calm, but the little "killer" was already confused. And he was very honest, and later reported the incident to Andreas intact. Originally, I set up a little "killer" and Xia Zuo's cult CP for the little "killer" (I once regarded the little "killer" as a potential love rival of Andreas, and worried that if An'er continued to place the little "killer" next to Xia Zuo, his wife would run away!), Because after knowing Xia Zuo for a while, the little "killer" gradually realized that Xia Zuo is a very gentle person, and hoped that Andreas could treat him well. Then I looked at it and suddenly discovered that the little "killer" had been fished away by Captain Piper (shocked face). But fortunately, Captain Piper really likes the little "killer". I remember one morning, Captain Piper gave the little "killer" a steak. In order to prevent the steak from getting cold, Captain Piper put the steak into his coat pocket and covered it. He didn't care if his clothes got stained (it was rare to feel the gentle side of Captain Piper). Although I have always regarded Captain Pipe as a thorn in my side, I might as well have been stabbed hard at that moment. It's not that he doesn't have a gentle side, it's just that he usually hides that side deliberately. As a digression, do you still remember the female secretary next to Captain Piper? If her partner hadn't let her off the hook at the dance, Captain Piper wouldn't have discovered Xia Zuo's escape so quickly. After so long, I can finally talk about the two protagonists of this book. It is not easy for me to be a regular reviewer. (Dog head) Most of today's authors like to create mature characters, but the strange thing is that when it comes to falling in love, they become childish like children. For example, as long as the lover has a simple interpersonal relationship with the opposite sex (romantic) or the same sex (danmei), he will be jealous, and later he will say to his lover, "Don't contact him in the future" (the black face does not understand). Can a mature person not be able to distinguish between love and friendship? Aren't they just like the kids in kindergarten who don't want to share lollipops with others? (And not as cute as children) To put it nicely, the protagonist is controlling or insecure about love. To put it harshly, the author doesn't know how to fall in love at all. In Funi Island, Andreas initially had a certain desire to control Xia Zuo. Among them, the most obvious performance was when Andreas trapped Xia Zuo in a room in the apartment in order to prevent him from going to a meeting. Although Andreas had good intentions, his behavior caused Xia Zuo to lose the organization's trust in him. For Xia Zuo, is this not a spiritual torture? But fortunately, Andreas also gradually understood his emotional misunderstandings. Instead of imposing his will on his lover, he knew what his lover really wanted and did, and silently supported him behind the scenes. Fortunately Andreas did it, but unfortunately there are too few protagonists like him.
Recommended by a friend, I didn't expect to taste such fine chaff when I read a World War II novel for the first time. Confession to my wife [Spread flowers][Spread flowers][Spread flowers]😚😚😚
Fw tied it, and then I searched the book title on Baidu and found that my wife has also updated it here. I checked and found that it is already finished. I just finished reading it. Although it was be, it was he in disguise. It was very sad but also very touching. They were finally together.
The author is great. This is the first time I read a World War II article. I cried TT many times in the middle. The country, lover, and national justice are repeatedly pulled in everyone's heart. Everyone has their own beliefs and choices. It is really helpless, but I have to face and accept it. It's great! Move!!
It cracked. After two years in the trap, it was the first time I was really stabbed by a "knife". I originally thought I had no heart... It turned out that I really liked Neumann unknowingly.
Let's take a look at another Cold War article for children. You deserve to own the ascetic Slavic beauty, "June Barcarolle in East Berlin". Let's go back to the Cold War together, play spy games and talk about love, shall we?
But to him, this ending is the heartbreaking trial of the biggest devil.
The story ends when the two are in their prime, brilliant and heroic, which may be regarded as a kind of beauty.
It's so sad. Such a good article, I hope more people can discover it and read it.
