How does it feel to watch the older brother you admire get defeated?

Shinji sets off on a journey, determined to grow stronger.

The end of his journey is to defeat that old man Jindai

and get away from that persistent nuisance.

When he meets Rin:

Rin: Hi, Shinji-sama! What are you doing? Since you're free, teach me how to train! (looks at him with sparkling eyes)

Shinji: You useless thing... Get over here already.

Rin: Eee! (snickering)

When he meets someone else:

(Yes, you, Satoshi.) Someone else: Battle me! I've been looking forward to this for ages, Shinji-s-a-m-a! (imitating Rin)

Shinji: Get lost! You loser.

1. The main character of this story is Shinji. If you don't like him, don't read. Yeah, I might add some Pokemon couples I like here and there.

2. Character OOC warning, and my writing is bad, qaq.

3. This is my first time writing a cool beauty like this, so be warned!! I really like Shinji, ahh, a sharp-tongued beauty, my goodness ┗|`O′|┛ Awooo~~

4. There'll be a little more romance later on. There's not much romance early on, and Rin keeps pestering Shinji to teach him training methods, which sparks the tiniest bit of affection (really, just a little; the story is mainly about the journey).

5. Updates may be slow because my brain doesn't work very well. The story centers on Satoshi and his group, so the plot follows the anime, starting in the Hoenn Region.
