I Own a Mountain-Sea Town

A little-known actor learns only after his grandfather dies that he wasn't his grandfather's biological child. He was found on a mountain. Before he can even grieve, the authorities inform him that he has inherited a barren mountain, along with a jade pendant his grandfather left behind. Later, the little-known actor becomes the young master of the mountain. He now has fields and land, as well as a crowd of little monsters from the Mountain and Sea Realm, all clamoring to be fed. Later still, the mountain becomes the country's most famous tourist destination, open for a limited time and to a limited number of visitors each year. A succubus runs the nightclub. A fox spirit rules the illusionary realm. A Pixiu runs the restaurant. Every tourist who visits ends up reluctant to leave. After all, who wouldn't love a real world more lifelike than virtual reality? The inspiration came from a terrible tourist scam I experienced while traveling.] Theme: With enough dedication, even a barren mountain can become prosperous.
