A twisted love triangle, a battle royale, and a whole lot of groveling, all stewed together.
Ran Ran takes on a truly deranged mission: become the villain's underling, toy with the male lead's feelings and then dump him, and play both sides while serving as the whetstone that sharpens him.
Ran Ran diligently betrays the male lead in every world. In one, he earns the male lead's trust, then cuts out his heart for the Demon Lord while the male lead is undergoing tribulation. In another, he tricks the male lead into dying for love, then turns around and sells the male lead's company to his rival...
Until one day, the male lead's corruption score gets too high, and Ran Ran has to return to lower it.
Ran Ran: Are you trying to get me killed? QAQ
World One: Nirvana Phoenix x Heartless
Rumor has it that the young son of the Heavenly Emperor was persecuted as a child and survived in Qingqiu only with the help of a fox demon who had cultivated for a thousand years. Later, heavenly fire blazed into the sky and the tribulation clouds changed. The fox demon he trusted and loved most cut open his chest and took his heart. Glass shattered, and the phoenix's cry rang through the nine heavens, mournful and haunting, echoing for ten days without end.
When the new emperor ascends the throne, all living beings come to pay tribute. The first thing he does, however, is pin the faithless traitor to the bed, his eyes bloodshot and his cold, pale fingertips stained with the blood of the man forced to submit.
"Ran Ran, does it hurt?"
"I forgot. You don't have a heart. You can't feel pain."
World Two: Financial Tycoon x Down-and-Out Young Master
Ran Ran, the youngest son of a bankrupt tycoon, falls for a refined, handsome, impoverished student when he is young. The stubborn young master uses a contract of servitude to keep the student by his side. He secretly pays for his education and supports his business ventures. Even when the student gains the power to humiliate him with cutting remarks, he swallows it all in silence.
Until the young master watches the poor student become a rising star in C City, holding his lover in his arms as he looks down from on high. He stands by coldly as Ran Ran is beaten by his enemies, and the hatred he has built up for ten years twists in his eyes like a wolf. At last, the young master lets out a bitter laugh. With his battered body and bruises all over, he makes his way to a shabby rental room where no one will find him, and waits to die.
But the young master never expected that just as he finally gives up and refuses to forgive, the man he thought he had failed to warm in ten years would read his medical records with bloodshot eyes and trembling hands, then bend his back and kneel on the hospital's marble floor. A choked, furious whimper tears from his throat.
"Ran Ran... Ran Ran... How could you be so cruel?"
"You don't love me, Ran Ran. You don't love me anymore."
World Three: Sinister Emperor x Traitor
Cheng En, chancellor of the Qian Dynasty and a trusted servant of the new emperor, turns traitor overnight. He frees an important prisoner from the southern kingdom and plots a rebellion.
The new emperor's hair turns white in a single night. Funeral bells toll through the night, the palace runs red with blood, and the rebels are slaughtered. The chancellor is locked in a dungeon thirty meters underground, his hands and feet broken, crushed beneath fifteen jin of chains. The new emperor personally oversees every punishment.
He listens coldly to Cheng En's anguished screams and incoherent curses. He watches him curl up and convulse in agony on blood-soaked golden silk. Then he looks up and condemns him to a living hell, where he will suffer forever.
Ran Ran is finally on the brink of death when he hears the man who inflicted all this pain on him let out a grief-stricken sob.
"Do you regret it, Ran Ran? Do you regret it?"
"Are you regretting it now... that you didn't love me?"
The wretched figure laughs wildly, clutching the body lying in a pool of blood. The refined beauty in his eyes is shattered, replaced by a fierce, crimson madness.
World Four: Vengeful Ghost x Betrayer
The fake young master, Ran Ran, tricks the real young master into promising to die with him. The real young master dies, but Ran Ran survives and naturally inherits his business empire. Yet someone follows him everywhere. A chilling voice always calls his name from the attic. At midnight, someone closes in on him, smiling with a rich, nightmarish malice as they watch his eyes redden and his breath come in choking gasps.
He hears a repressed obsession growing wild, a possessiveness so twisted it could only end in death.
"I saw you smile at him again today."
"Ran Ran, you haven't been a good boy."
World Five: Obsessive Senior x Gold Digger
