The Wang family has a saying: "Even if the sky is falling, you still have to put a pot lid on your head and go to school." For Wang Jinyi, becoming a "Model Student" is her goal every year, the highest honor of all.

Two years ago, Wang Jinyi's father, Wang Zhihua, suddenly left home. No one knew why or where he had gone. Before he left, he made a promise with Wang Jinyi: for every Model Student certificate she earned, he would come home once a year. When she had earned her sixth, he would never leave again.

But just as she started her first year of high school, her new homeroom teacher came up with a new scheme. To keep her promise to her father, she has to campaign for votes from every student in her class, including Chen Shaobin, the boy she's had a crush on for three years. But whenever she thinks of him, dressed in white and smiling as brightly as the sun, her palms start to sweat.
