Si Miao had to admit that she fell for Baili Zhongqiu because of the tear that slipped down his cheek after he was betrayed. As they spent their days together afterward, her feelings grew stronger, until they became impossible to suppress.
"So what if he's the person in the prophecy? He hasn't harmed the cultivation world!"
"If I'm going to protect him, I'll become even stronger than he is. When he becomes the Demon Lord who will destroy the cultivation world, I'll kill him."
.
Baili Zhongqiu could never love this world. He was always met with malice, and even when he received a little kindness, he always lost it again.
So when everyone eventually pointed at him, ready to seal him away and kill him, he thought it had finally come. But just as he resolved to fight to the death, a figure in blue robes stepped in front of him. She looked back and said with a smile, "Little Junior Brother, could you at least slow down before getting yourself into trouble?"
"If this world has no place for him, I can take him away."
"The road ahead is uncertain, and I made the decision for you. Little Junior Brother, you aren't angry, are you?"
.
Baili Zhongqiu, now the Demon Lord, stood before Si Miao once more.
Si Miao lifted his chin. "Do you remember what I told you? Are you still Baili Zhongqiu?"
Baili Zhongqiu smiled along with her touch. "I am."
