After two centuries of observation, God finally made a momentous decision in the middle of the twenty-second century.
The afterlife would undergo an information-age modernization reform too!
All afterlife races would be divided into Heaven departments and Hell departments, trained in electronic office work, and given a new, comprehensive digital system for handling all affairs.
Abilities would be visualized as data, workloads made fully transparent, and all positions shuffled and reassigned.
The future of the afterlife is bright, God said.

The former Demon King, Ulysses, went to the automated job assignment station. In front of everyone, the assignment machine loudly announced:
[Congratulations! You have been assigned the position of Archangel in the Heaven Department! Please report for work as soon as possible! Please report for work as soon as possible! Please report for work as soon as possible!]
Before he could react, the machine next door announced that someone had been assigned the Demon King position.
Ulysses turned his head and met the former Archangel Noah's eyes in silence.
They stared at each other, both thinking the same thing.
The afterlife was doomed.

God flatly refused to admit there was anything wrong with the machines. "Is it possible that these are actually the positions best suited to you?"
So someone stared in terror at the belt-fed heavy machine gun over his head. "Aren't you, aren't you from Heaven?!"
"My lord, times have changed." The Archangel Ulysses, with crimson wings, grinned recklessly. "We call it salvation by physical force."
Someone's pupils shook as he stared at the sharp cross-shaped blade drawing closer. "Don't come any closer!!! I'm going to call for help!!!"
"Do not be alarmed." The Demon King Noah, with snow-white wings, looked holy. "I'm simply responsible for sending those who don't believe in God to meet Him."
