The story begins in a small city. Liang Qi and Chen Yu fall in love, then get into the same university. They move together to a new city and look after each other. Both excel in their studies and plan to make it big after graduation. But then Chen Yu is diagnosed with rectal cancer and undergoes surgery. Knowing he doesn't have much time left, he cruelly cuts off contact with Liang Qi. In the bustling city, they scavenge for scraps, gathering up their precious memories of each other.
